Dr. Davlapur making waves in sports medicine.

Originally from Houston, Dr. Abhilash Davlapur completed the did the Global Health Track program. After deciding to pursue sports medicine as a medical student, he completed his residency and fellowship with the University of Oklahoma and then moved back home to Sugarland, TX.

Dr. Davlapur currently serves as a medical Director for sports medicine at Memorial Hermann. He is also a clinical assistant professor with UT Houston McGovern Medical School, and the University of Houston Medical School. He is also a team physician with the Houston Astros organization, head team physician for HCU and several other local teams including high school teams. Dr. Davlapur is on the board for the Texas department of licensing and regulations(TDLR). He recently became medical director for a new cricket league in the United States called Major League Cricket.  The main sport he covers is combat sports and has covered several major pro fights including several UFC cards, USA boxing, and several big title boxing fights. He is passionate about interventional orthopaedic care in the orthobiologics world and continues to push the boundaries in this field clinically.
